Senior LGBT Statistics

  51% of older LGBT people are very or extremely concerned about the financial futures.

 2/3 of older trans people worry about being denied or having limited access to medical treatment.

Older lesbians, bisexual, and gay men have higher prevalence's of mental health problems, disability, and disease and physical limitations than older heterosexual people

Youth Statistics

4 in 10 LGBT youth (42%) say the community in which they live in is not accepting of the LGBT people.

2x LGBT youth are twice as likely as their peers to say they have been physically assaulted kicked or shoved at.

26% of LGBT youth say their biggest problems are not feeling accepted by their family, trouble at school/ bullying, and a fear to be out/open. 22% of non-LGBT youth say their biggest problems are trouble with class exams and grades.

Roughly three-quarters (73%) of LGBT youth say they are more honest about themselves online than in the real world.
